How to improve the quality of CNC flame cutting
author£ºPopularity£ºPublished time£º2026-07-29
As a traditional cutting and processing method, flame cutting has been widely welcomed by market users due to its characteristics of flat cutting surface and large cutting thickness. With the improvement of CNC cutting technology in recent years, CNC cutting machines have also been widely used. Combining flame cutting with CNC cutting operations not only greatly improves cutting efficiency, but also enhances the stability of cutting quality. Wuhan Baisijie CNC Technology Co., Ltd., as a professional CNC cutting machine production and sales enterprise, has many years of experience in CNC cutting machine sales and maintenance. In response to users' concerns about how to further improve the quality of CNC flame cutting, the following points are summarized for reference:
1. The ignition point of metals should be lower than their melting point.
2. Metal can release a large amount of heat when burned in oxygen flow, and the thermal conductivity of the metal itself is low.
3. The melting point of oxides generated by metal combustion should be lower than that of metals, and the fluidity should be good.
The metals that meet the above gas cutting conditions include pure iron, low-carbon steel, medium carbon steel, low-alloy steel, and titanium. Other commonly used metal materials such as cast iron, stainless steel, aluminum, and copper cannot be used for oxygen cutting because they do not meet these three conditions. By combining the above elements and setting the relevant process parameters before cutting, the cutting quality accuracy can be controlled within ¡À 0.5MM.
